Join us in this fun and social class! This semester the adult and teen oil painting classes will focus on the structure of the features of the face and the use of color. Students will study masterworks to color match the diversity of color used and the specific use of brushstroke and value in creating facial features. Students will expand their use of color and will hone their portrait painting skills by painting portrait details, such as, eyes, noses, and mouths as seen in professional portrait painting. The semester will culminate with students working from live models to apply their new found knowledge. Beginning and intermediate painters are welcome. This is a 15-week virtual class beginning on January 7th. This class is available to attend in-person or virtually via Zoom conference. Instructions to access the Zoom meetings and other class resources will be sent via email as we near the start of the semester. All students attending the class in person must follow the protocols put in place to assure the safety of staff and students.
