Black History Month Film Screening: Kehinde Wiley: An Economy of Grace

In celebration of Black History Month, join SUMA and Southern Utah University’s Black Student Union for a screening of the PBS Documentary, Kehinde Wiley: An Economy of Grace. Wiley is a black American painter known for his portraits of African American men in the style of classical portraiture. This film follows the creation of Wiley’s newest series, Economy of Grace, his change in muse from black men to black women, and the addition of black women to art history. Following the screening, participants can engage in a talk back with Black Student Union president, Dominique Erwin, and other members of BSU for an educational and inspirational discussion on black art.
