The new year marks an opportunity for leaders and employers to take stock of the opportunities for helping their teams thrive in a changing and uncertain world. This session will first provide a broad perspective on the state of mental health in the U.S. and in Utah, how working-age adults are coping, and the types of community-level resources available to help. It will then turn to best practices for the workplace, including how to support teams in this unusual time, strategies for reaching employees in virtual contexts, the “right questions” to ask to help assess employee mental well-being, and considerations for returning to in-person work environments.
