Ring in the Year of the Ox with The City Library's virtual Chinese New Year celebration!

This year, you can stop by any of our libraries to pick up a Take-and-Make kit, with a family-friendly craft and other party supplies inside. Then, tune into Vimeo on Saturday, February 13, at 2pm, for a series of performances brought to you by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology. Take-and-Make Kits will be available beginning Feb 5, while supplies last.

Chinese New Year is a time to reconnect with family, let go of the past, and get ready for a fresh start. According to Chinese zodiac, oxen are honest and earnest. They are low key, and never look for praise or to be the center of attention. This often hides their talent, but in the end they always gain recognition through their hard work!
