AND IT’S COMPLETELY FREE TO THE COMMUNITY!

The Electric Film Series continues at the historic Electric Theater on Tuesday, February, 16th at 6 PM (Doors at 5:30 PM) with an influential title from the 1920s;

THE JAZZ SINGER (1927)
Runtime 89 minutes
--------------------------------------------
Recognized as one of the very first talkies, this legendary film stars an energetic Al Jolson and tells the story of a man who must defy the religious traditions of his father if he’s to pursue his dreams of becoming a jazz singer.
Our must-see screening of this noteworthy cinematic achievement of the past--which was famously updated and headlined by way of a divisive Neil Diamond-headlined version in the 80s--will be introduced by gifted film historian, April Ve Vea. April will also lead what is sure to be an insightful post-screening discussion. You can expect a couple of other surprises during what promises to be a magical evening at the movies.

Be sure to arrive at the screening a little early and order an optional food item to enjoy following the film.

*All necessary safety precautions will be taken including masks, sanitizing stations, and limited seating.
