Presented by Southern Utah University at Online/Virtual Space

Dr. Hal Campbell was a pillar in the Southern Utah community. As a talented educator, composer, pianist, and director, music defined his life and he was able to share these gifts with the community around him. To honor his legacy the SUU Music department has named a string quartet after Dr. Campbell and SUU students will be performing a tribute concert in his name, which will be live streamed here on February 23, 2021, at 7:30 p.m.

This concert will feature the newly formed Hal Campbell String Quartet, SUU Music students, and SUU Music faculty. Dr. Lawrence Johnson, Music Department Chair will be the host with Dr. Keith Bradshaw presenting the commentary about Dr. Campbell's composition style throughout the concert. The concert will consist of chamber music composed by Dr. Campbell and performed by the students and faculty.
