The Real Doug Lane is a New Classic Country artist based in Provo, Utah. Although he has been a musician and performer for most of his life, Doug's solo career began in 2016, when his song "Faces" was featured by Operation Encore on their second album "Monuments". The Real Doug Lane performs with his band throughout the Rocky's and has released several singles, two EPs, and "Water From the Stone", his debut full-length album.

Doug was raised in Kingsville, Texas, and began his musical pursuits at a young age, beginning with piano, then saxophone. Following high school, he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. While in the Army, Doug met and married his wife, who was also a soldier. In 2003-2004, they both deployed to Baghdad in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
