We have missed you! And we hope you have missed us too. Mark your calendars for July 20-24 as the Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo presented by Zions Bank is “Ready to Ride Again” in 2021. Celebrating the modern-day pioneer spirit and our forefather’s rich western heritage, the event is held in the state of the art 17.5 Million-dollar Days of ’47 Arena at State Fair Park. There is not a bad seat in this venue, boasting of 10,000 reserved stadium style seats for its fans.
The Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo, boasting a half a million dollars in prize money, has become a must stop on the summer rodeo schedule for contestants from the junior high level all the way to the pros of the sport as they vie for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals awarded to the top three, setting this rodeo apart from any other rodeo in the world. Contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie- down roping, barrel racing, women’s breakaway roping and bull riding will earn the right to compete at the Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo. The Gold Medal Round will take place on July 24 and the winners in each discipline will receive $25,000 in cash and a Cowboy Games Gold Medal.
Bring the family early, as the park opens at 4PM and features an Air Conditioned Exhibitor Space that will include food trucks, a Longhorn display, Native American encampment, Pioneer display, Mountain Man Camp, handcart racing and a carnival. Mechanical bull rides are free for those with a rodeo ticket.
