Once a month throughout 2021...

AND IT’S COMPLETELY FREE TO THE COMMUNITY!
The Electric Film Series continues at the historic Electric Theater on Tuesday, May 18th at 6 PM (Doors at 5:30 PM) with a showing of an epic sci-fi classic from the 1950’s;

FORBIDDEN PLANET (1956)
Runtime 1hr 40 mins
--------------------------------------------
In this deep space adventure, a team of explorers discovers a dark secret when trying to make contact with a planet colony after they mysteriously go silent. In addition to its infectiously irresistible B-movie spirit, FORBIDDEN PLANET was hailed for its impressive special effects which include among other things, the infamous Robbie the Robot. It should also be noted that this Fred Wilcox-helmed gem features wonderful performances by the likes of Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, and the great Leslie Nielsen who would go on to make audiences laugh in legendary comedies such as AIRPLANE! and THE NAKED GUN series.

This rocket blast from the past will be introduced by the extraordinarily gifted concept artist, John Eaves...A man who knows a thing or two about the business having brought a magical touch to everything from STAR TREK to DIE HARD 2. John will also lead what is sure to be an insightful post-screening discussion. Additionally, you can expect a handful of surprises in what is sure to be the ultimate out-of-this-world experience!

Be sure to arrive at the screening a little early and order a delicious optional food item from a Local Restaurant, Twisted Noodle. The food will be available for consumption immediately following the film during the post-screening discussion or you can feel free to take it home with you.

Special Thanks to this month's Sponsors that have helped make this great community event happen; St. George Rap Tax, Washington County Rap, Twisted Noodle, and Austin Schadewald Media!

*All necessary safety precautions will be taken including masks, sanitizing stations, and limited seating.
