Please join us for this choral masterwork recounting the true history of George Washington and God’s miracles wrought during the American war for independence. You will experience the events that led to the birth of our beloved nation.
Our talented soloists join the wonderful orchestra and choir to share the legacy of George Washington, his calling to lead the cause for liberty and his faith in God to sustain his efforts. This beautiful work will also reintroduce the Liberty Tree, a beloved symbol of freedom for the colonists at that time. This tree became a rallying point and a place of strength and hope to those fighting for the rights of all men. Come hear the beloved poem by Thomas Payne, set to stirring music. We also have a beautiful artistic representation of the tree in the lobby. This collaboration with a local artist, Dan Preece, is being auctioned at the event, with proceeds benefitting Operation Underground Railroad and the Draper Philharmonic & Choral Society.
Come join us for an evening that will remind us all that we are One Nation, Under God. It is a beautiful way to celebrate the land we love.
