Anatomy for Teens

Anatomy for Teens

Presented by Visual Art Institute at Visual Art Institute

WEDNESDAYS — 4:30 - 6:30 PM
Class for Teens Only
This class is part THREE of a 3-semester series to learn to draw and paint human anatomy. The winter and spring semester went over the bones and muscle groups of the human body. Finally, in this spring semester, we will render the anatomy and its effects under the skin. Students are not required to take the previous semesters to take this spring class, and are more than welcome to join us for this course that studies the outer appearance of muscle groups and bones on the human anatomy. This course is designed to assist the student with a basic overview of the anatomical names of bones, and the superficial muscles that are required to represent the figure in proper proportions and realism. We will be using charcoal, Pitt Pastel pencils, and watercolors during this semester to render beautiful anatomical studies. Open to all skill levels. This is a 10 week course with the first day of the semester being April 21st. Instructions to access the Zoom meetings and other class resources will be sent via email as we near the start of the semester. All students attending the class in person must follow the protocols put in place to assure the safety of staff and students. All on-site classes require that masks are worn and physical distancing guidelines are followed. See full COVID guidelines here. Please send any questions to us at info@visualartinstitute.org.
