Visit the Hutchings Museum on June 9th to experience a National Geographic Virtual Field Trip: Revisiting History
The next National Geographic Virtual Field Trip: Revisiting History, focuses on difficult but critical moments in history, specifically the systemic racism against the Black community in the United States. Join us on June 9, 2021, at 11 am MST to explore sunken slave ships in the Atlantic Ocean and uncover the truth about a one-hundred-year-old massacre; both shed light on often-neglected parts of American history.
This Virtual Field Trip will discuss the enslavement of Africans in the Americas and racially-based violence in the United States. The content is recommended for ages 14 and up.
The event is included with museum admission.
Museum admission $5 for adults (18 and up), $4 for children (3 and up).
