Utah Symphony’s Summer Community Concert

Presented by Utah Symphony and Draper Amphitheater at Draper Amphitheater

The Utah Symphony’s annual series of Summer Community Concerts kicks off at the Draper Amphitheater with associate conductor Conner Gray Covington leading a program filled with orchestral favorites—including Strauss’ Blue Danube waltzes, the theme from Jurassic Park, and Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever—alongside newer symphonic sounds.

Concert Highlights Include:

The first and second halves of the program each begin with fanfares: Copland’s Fanfare to the Common Man and Joan Tower’s Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman No. 1, dedicated to women “who take risks and are adventurous.”
Hear three works by legendary film composer John Williams—Cowboy Overture, Born on the 4th of July, and the theme from Jurassic Park
Experience Quinn Mason’s 2021 piece Toast of the Town, a festive and fun overture designed in the style of light operetta.
