During this three day workshop, students will paint a portrait, nude and costumed model. We will work indoors exploring both warm and cool artificial light sources. Our studies will be alla prima, with each day offering a new subject.

Through lecture, demonstration and individualized help, Robert will offer an understanding of general principles of painting that will inform your considerations regarding value, color and edge relationships.

Other topics include, the importance of identifying the color and strength of the light source, simplifying one's value and color interpretation, designing your paintings, posing and lighting the subject, and so much more.
