SYNOPSIS: Reeling in the midst of a family tragedy, Cleo Harris (Annika Carlson) sits in a hospital waiting room recounting the key events and core relationships in her life that led to such a lonely and aimless existence. Tracing her trajectory from childhood to the here and now by opening up about her eating disorder and mental health episodes reveals a few fundamental truths to Cleo about her own future in both the short and long term.
ARTIST BIO: Annika Carlson is an up-and-coming writer and director based in Los Angeles, California. Having studied screenwriting and playwriting at UCLA, Carlson is well trained in the traditional theatrical form and focuses on the central themes of womanhood, intergenerational dynamics, and identity in the face of tragedy. But despite her classical education, Carlson is best known for her endearingly vulgar characters and the many conventions cast aside in her stageplays and films.
