"The Not Broken Monologues" is an exploration of these complexities and the grief that comes with them. Through the real life stories of people from all walks of life, a singular theme triumphantly emerges - we are disabled, but we are not broken.

Playwright Ash Goodwin created this piece of inclusive, community-building theatre partially as an act of coming to terms with her own disabilities, but also as a way of telling the stories of others and their journeys towards acceptance. Every story included in "The Not Broken Monologues" is based on interviews with actual members of the disabled community. All actors in this production are either disabled or chronically ill because representation and inclusion matter.
