2021 BDAC Silent Film Festival

2021 BDAC Silent Film Festival

Presented by Bountiful/Davis Art Center at Bountiful Davis Art Center

Bountiful Davis Art Center is proud to present the Annual Silent Film Festival.

When silent films debuted over 100 years ago, theaters would hire musicians to play alongside them. Bountiful Davis Art Center will recreate this experience all day Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Each year hundreds of musicians, local bands, and studios gather at BDAC to perform live music to silent films. This fundraiser supports the Music Program. The money raised during the festival directly subsidizes the stage rental for the community. This festival will offer students a performance opportunity and will also be a way to continue showing these notable historical films.

This fun family activity is appropriate for all ages to come and enjoy live music. Films shown at the festival include Charlie Chaplin's The Adventurer, Easy Street, and The Immigrant. Buster Keaton's One Week, The Neighbors, The Goat, My Wife's Relations, The Scarecrow, The Balloonatic, The Love Nest Haunted House, and The Boat. The festival also offers an excellent opportunity to teach younger people how influential early filmmakers were to modern-day comedy, film directing, and storytelling.

Traditional cinema snacks and drinks will be sold.
