The Beehive Statesmen Barbershop Chorus at the Utah Arts Festival

The Beehive Statesmen Barbershop Chorus at the Utah Arts Festival

Presented by Beehive Statesmen Barbershop Chorus and Utah Arts Festival at Salt Lake City Public Library Main Branch

The mission of the Utah Arts Festival is to promote the arts and enhance the quality of life in Utah through the production of an annual outdoor, multi-disciplinary event in downtown Salt Lake City.  The Beehive Statesmen Barbershop Chorus is proud to once again participate in this exciting entertainment tradition.  Founded in 1948, the chorus continues the uniquely American tradition of barbershop music in a manner guaranteed to appeal to music lovers of all ages. Under the direction of Paul Barlow and Chris Wiggens, the chorus has been keeping alive the Barbershop Men’s a’Cappella tradition and has entertained residents all over the Salt Lake City Metro area for 75 years! Their motto, Service Through Singing, exemplifies their commitment to fellowship through music throughout the Salt Lake community. With the generous support of the Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks (ZAP) grants, the chorus performs frequently each year for numerous audiences throughout the Salt Lake region and has particularly enjoyed providing outreach and entertainment to residents of various independent and assisted living communities.

The concert will include a variety of selections by the entire chorus as well as numbers presented by several quartets composed of members of the chorus.

They hope that you will enjoy this celebration of the uniquely American barbershop musical sound in this concert that will appeal to audiences of all ages.
