H2O Today: Exhibition | Bear River Boa Ogoi: the River is Life

H2O Today: Exhibition | Bear River Boa Ogoi: the River is Life

Presented by Bear River Heritage Area and Utah Humanities at Hyrum City Museum

Bear River Boa Ogoi: the River is Life explores how the Bear River is the source of life for Northwestern Shoshone peoples, representing their physical, cultural, and spiritual experiences both in the past and today. This project, completed in partnership with the Northwestern Band of Shoshone Nation, will engage you with their historical and contemporary water stories.

This exhibition accompanies H2O Today, a traveling Smithsonian exhibition brought to Utah by Utah Humanities. These events are part of Think Water Utah, a statewide collaboration and conversation on the critical topic of water presented by Utah Humanities and its partners. H2O Today is organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. It was adapted from an exhibition organized by the American Museum of Natural History (New York) and the Science Museum of Minnesota (St. Paul), in collaboration with Great Lakes Science Center (Cleveland), Field Museum (Chicago), Instituto Sangari (Sao Paulo), National Museum of Australia (Canberra), Royal Ontario Museum (Toronto), San Diego Natural History Museum, and Science Centre Singapore.
