Orchesis Dance Theatre: Where Dance Breathes

Orchesis Dance Theatre: Where Dance Breathes

Presented by Weber State University Lindquist College of Arts and Humanities at Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts

Orchesis Dance Theatre welcomes audiences back to the theatre space with Moving Company’s premiere works by Congolese Guest Artist Zim Zim and WSU faculty member Amanda Sowerby. Moving Company co-directors, Deja Mitchell and jo Blake, are excited that the invited guest artists have expressed interest in creating works that challenge the notion of what dance can be - past, present, and future. New works by student choreographers will be debuted as well.

Where Dance Breathes invites audiences to experience a wide array of works that are steeped in elements of time and effort as it interconnects with human connection, community-based outreach and technological advances that continue to support the physical art created and presented in November 2021 at the Browning Center's Allred Theater.
