Hilary Hahn plays Brahms

Utah Symphony Artist-in-Association Hilary Hahn returns to open the 2021-22 season and welcome audiences back to Abravanel Hall.

Concert Highlights Include:

Beethoven’s lifelong fascination with heroic figures was in full bloom for his orchestral tribute to the Dutch martyr Count Egmont.

Violin superstar and Salt Lake City favorite Hilary Hahn performs Brahms’ beloved and virtuosic masterpiece, featuring cadenzas arranged by Jessie Montgomery

Maestro Fischer rounds out the program with Shostakovich’s 6th Symphony, an enigmatic follow-up to the work that put him temporarily back in Stalin’s good graces.

Per the recommendation of the CDC, Utah Symphony | Utah Opera is encouraging all patrons to wear face coverings while indoors at our upcoming events.
