Learn to make beautiful botanical prints on paper in this virtual Workshop presented by Craft Lake City and the Natural History Museum of Utah, inspired by NHMU’s special exhibit Egypt: The Time of Pharaohs!! Learn all the steps of preparing and steaming botanical ingredients onto paper in the alchemical journey that is eco-printing. Dive into the history of botanical dye in Ancient Egypt and learn about the origins of alchemy in Alexandria as you top off your botanical masterpieces with gold leaf embellishment. Students will utilize a take-home supply kit while following along in real time on Zoom with local instructor Sunny Smith of Temple O Flora. Tickets are available through NHMU, & spots are limited!
