Shakespeare’s classic political thriller, JULIUS CAESAR, chronicles a murder conspiracy plot dreamt up by Caius Cassius and Marcus Brutus. The men feel too much power is held by Caesar so they stab him to death on the Ides of March, sparing his close friend Mark Antony. At Caesar’s funeral, Antony is able to turn the mob of mourners against the assassins who decide to flee Rome and take their own lives instead of risking capture. All is resolved when Caesar’s death is avenged and his nephew, Octavius, takes command of Rome alongside Antony.
