STICKS AND STONES–AN EXPLORATION OF PREHISTORIC TOOLS AND WEAPONS with Angelo Robledo
Learn about early axes, Indigenous traditions of Central and South America, ancient graffiti, tales of fieldwork, archeology heroes, spears, sharp rocks, ancient blades, bows and arrows, ancient graffiti ….. and the atlatl?
What is an Atlatl? You have likely never heard of an atlatl, but by the end of the presentation, you’ll be carving one out of old lumber and instructed on the physics of how far you can lob this ancient weaponry. Also, learn about the World Atlatl Association and what to do if you find artifacts on a hike.
Experimental archeologist and decades-long ancient tool enthusiast Angelo Robledo is as passionate as an “ologist” can get.
