The Witching Hour: An Evening of Six Short Plays

The Witching Hour: An Evening of Six Short Plays

Presented by The Hive Collaborative at The Hive Collaborative

A Victorian gentleman seeks professional help when his dead wife goes missing ("The Undertaker"); an elderly marchioness presides over an estate menaced by wolves ("Unseen, They Do Not Bite"); a couple's private Halloween at home is disrupted by a surprise visitor ("The Ghostly Chaperone"); a man mourning his mistress stays overnight in the cemetery where she's buried ("Was It a Dream?"); a vampire and human are stranded together in the desert ("Deserted"); and a newlywed young woman meets a stranger with grim purpose at a ball ("A Long Waltz Too Short").

Five of the plays are by local playwrights. One is an adaptation of a short story by well-known nineteenth century French author Guy de Maupassant. Five of the six plays are premieres.
