Fall Social for Cedar City Arts Council: Honoring Sally Hunter

Fall Social for Cedar City Arts Council: Honoring Sally Hunter

Presented by Cedar City Arts Council at Utah Shakespeare Festival

The Cedar City Arts Council sponsors networking socials for the community three times a year to become acquainted with some of the artists that live here in Iron County. The Cedar City Arts Council’s next social will be Friday October 22, at 5:30 p.m. at the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s Patio near Fred Adams’ statue and outdoor theater at 200 West Center Street. These events are meant to showcase and celebrate some of the artists who have received mini grants from the Cedar City Arts Council. Our objective is to have live music, art displays, and reports on the use that the recipients have made of their awarded funds. This is a free public event.
Our Fall social will feature Addison Love on guitar. Susan Bates will provide a literary reading. We will have an introduction to the Johnson Art Center. Artworks 42 will present their art and talk about setting up an art business in Cedar City. Frank and Maryliz Harris have been active in the Art Walks and Farmer's Markets. The social will also include the Mayor's Proclamation in support of Arts and Humanities Month. Our Annual Community Art Award will be presented to Cedar City’s beloved, Sally Hunter Jensen. Rain location is Johnson Center, 105 N. 100 West. (more info on our Facebook page)
