This summer come travel the globe in this unique kids art camp. With international artist and educator, Jill Saxton Smith, we will explore traditional art techniques of 5 different cultures and create our own kid take on it. This camp is aimed at fostering cultural awareness, collaboration, creative thinking and expression that includes hands-on experiences in a variety of mediums and techniques. All supplies and a snack will be provided, please bring a water bottle.
In this class we will travel to Southern Africa and take a safari to see the animals that live there. We will then create colorful wall hangings of our favorite animals using traditional Zimbabwean designs and methods of cloth dying!
