The class will begin with a simple bookbinding practice to construct envelope journals. You will then learn different collage methods & tricks to adorn the covers with beautiful collage materials! Participants will choose from a wide array of curated vintage & repurposed paper goods for their collage, and will be able to incorporate watercolor, illustration, and more. The sky's the limit! All supplies are provided, and beginners are welcome. Participants will each receive a bonus $10 gift card for one of the shops or restaurants at Valley Fair for their next visit!

About the Instructor:

As an artist, Shelby Pence is inspired by many things from the earth and nature, the creativity of others/sharing ideas, her own imagination running wild, and creating new art with recycled materials. She likes to create a wide range of colorful paintings, an eclectic mix of earthy toned and bold statement jewelry, tiny artwork in many forms, and household decor with recycled materials.
