Utah Philharmonia

Utah Philharmonia

Presented by The University of Utah’s School of Music at Libby Gardner Hall - University of Utah

Join the Utah Phil for an evening of colorful, energized music on December 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Libby Gardner Hall. Prof. Kirstin Chávez joins the orchestra to sing the evocatively beautiful El Amor Brujo (Love, The Magician) by Spanish composer, Manuel DeFalla. The orchestra will also perform Mozart's ebullient Symphony No. 35 (The Haffner Symphony) and Gabriela Lena Frank's Leyendas: An Andean Walkabout, a piece infused with folk rhythms and dazzling special musical effects.

For the safety of our audiences, artists, and staff, the School of Music asks that all patrons attending performances follow recent CDC guidance, which calls for everyone to wear face masks indoors. We ask that patrons please not attend any show if they have been exposed to COVID-19 or are feeling unwell. We will refund tickets for any patrons who have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing flu-like symptoms.
