This photography class is an exploration of "seeing the art in the everyday "...an exploration of the beauty of that and learning to talk about it. We will practice shooting using existing light while trying to remain a "fly on the wall". The instructor will share some techniques in the idea of shooting "on the street" while remaining unobtrusive to the scene. We will meet at different locations outdoors, all participants should not only have their camera gear but have a folding chair and face mask, and gloves at the ready for all classes. This Art of Seeing class has a slightly different twist as we will practice safe distance shooting using wide and long lenses to create images of human interest together. Topics are creating People Porch Portraits, hiking in the landscape to create images of serenity and calm, and a go at conceptual pandemic portraiture location work, with one random street stranger shoot. The student should have a basic understanding of his or her camera and can use the camera of their choice. We will have an online Gallery for virtual critiques.
