The American Red Cross is experiencing the worst blood shortage in over a decade.  The dangerously low blood supply level have forced some hospitals to defer patients from major surgery, including organ transplants. Join the Red Cross as they host a blood drive on January 17th from 11AM -4PM in the empty retail space next to Arula. Visit www.redcross.org to schedule your appointment time.

To ensure the safety of both patients and donors, these are some of the requirements donors must meet to be eligible to donate blood based on their donation type.

Whole Blood Donation

Donation frequency: Every 56 days, up to 6 times a year*
You must be in good health and feeling well**
You must be at least 16 years old in most states
You must weigh at least 110 lbs
