Stand-up Comedy 101 is ImprovBroadway's introductory stand-up comedy course that is great for beginners or veteran comics. The class introduces the basics of stand-up comedy.

Students will learn how to come up with material for open mics.

This class is the pre-requisite for Stand-up Comedy 201.

Class size: 10-15

Duration: Each level is 5 weeks, once a week, for two hours a session.

Class Time: Mondays, January 31st - February 28th, 5:45-7:45 PM

Class Requirements: Students must be 18 years or older to take the ImprovBroadway courses and be willing to abide by ImprovBroadway's family-friendly content policy. To graduate each course, students must arrive on time to each session, attend each class to completion, maintain good hygiene, attend one ImprovBroadway show (students will be provided a complimentary ticket) within the duration of each course, and perform in a graduation performance at the conclusion of 201, 301, and 401.

​About: Each course after 101 requires completion of the previous course to continue to the next level. Classes are not just for aspiring comedians and performers, so don't hesitate to take the courses even if you don't have the desire to become a performer.
