Beowulf is considered the oldest epic in the English language. J.R.R. Tolkien argued for its inclusion in literary studies. Dr. Andrew R. Bahlmann will highlight this first great work of English literature.
Bahlmann is an associate professor at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. He is the author of the book, The Mythology of the Superhero. He has a master’s degree in Old English literature from the University of Colorado Boulder and PhD with research in medieval English literature and superheroes from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is interested in popular culture, medieval studies, mythology, and folklore.
