Join Thanksgiving Point in this service project, where we will assemble food kits for students and families in need in our community.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is recognized nationally as a day for community service. Dr. King often empowered his constituents to continually serve and give back to their community. Please join Thanksgiving Point in honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through our annual Day of Service, held on January 17 at the Museum of Natural Curiosity.
This year, Thanksgiving Point is partnering with the Granite Education Foundation to pack food bags for the School Food Pantry project. The School Food Pantry Program provides a range of kits that students in the Granite School District can use if needed. Granite School District houses 95% of the refugee community in the state of Utah, 54% of students live at or below the poverty level, and 65% of students are food insecure. Our efforts can help provide meals for students who may need them.
Admission to this event is free for all. We appreciate your dedication to helping your community!
