Southern Utah University’s Department of Music is hosting the SUU High School Honor Orchestra Concert on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. in the Heritage Center Theater. These high school students from all over the region will be led by Dr. Xun Sun, Director of Orchestral Activities at Southern Utah University. This concert is free and open to the public.

Dr. Xun Sun, Director of Orchestral Activities at SUU, shares, “This is our 6th annual High School Honor Orchestra Workshop and Concert. Due to COVID-19, we postponed this event from Fall 2021 to this Spring 2022. This event is also provide an SUU Scholarship Audition opportunity. The main purpose for the workshop and concert is to give opportunities for the high school students to work with high level music and training as well as get to know SUU’s music program. This year SUU’s Music Department will host 30 to 50 high school students. The final concert will be performed with the SUU Orchestra.”
