Join bookseller Melanie Knight from Books Inc. (Alameda, CA), and Independent Bookstore Day Ambassador, Angie Thomas, as they share an intimate discussion about book challenges and the importance of independent bookstores.  The event is free and open to the public with any donations going to the charity of Angie’s choice: We Need Diverse Books.

This free, virtual event will take place on Zoom and you must register through Eventbrite here to participate.

Melanie Knight is the children’s frontlist buyer for ten Books Inc locations around the northern California area. She has been working in the book industry since 2009, and has worked in everything from event coordination to managing her own store in her time at Books Inc.
