Amy Hakanson is a very talented musician from Portland, Oregon. She studied at the Eric Salström institute in Sweden and has a degree in Ethnomusicology from Portland State University. Amy studied classical violin and plays an amazing variety of instruments including regular fiddle, Swedish nyckelharpa, Norwegian hardingfele, banjo and guitar. She grew up playing bluegrass fiddle with her family band and her interest in Swedish folk music begain with the nyckelharpa in 2008. We will have a concert Friday evening and Amy will join together with our own Troll Sisters (aka Scandi Band) for a Saturday evening "Social" with potluck and dancing.
