2022 Carillon Concert

2022 Carillon Concert

Presented by America's Freedom Festival at Provo at BYU's Centennial Carillon Tower

The BYU Centennial Carillon Tower has stood as a symbol of freedom and spirit for 46 years. The annual Freedom Festival Carillon Concert awakens emotions of patriotism and liberty through performances that appeal to children and adults alike. BYU Alumni Carillonneurs Ariel Peterson Hubbard and Russell Sorenson return to their Alma Mater to perform patriotic pieces as well as folk, Broadway, classical, and original compositions for an eager audience on Thursday, June 23. Ariel and Russell studied carillon under University Carillonneur Don Cook, and both earned full membership in the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America during their student years. This is one of the more simple and leisurely events of the Festival. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics to the shady lawns surrounding the tower to enjoy a free evening concert. The performer is visible on a large monitor, and visitors can enjoy a short demonstration of the practice keyboard after the performance.
