Following their exhilarating 2021 performance, Ballet West returns to Red Butte Garden! The program includes Juliano Nunes’s Orange, Scottish Ballet Resident Choreographer Sophie LaPlane’s Galantheae, and Arthur Saint-Léon’s La Vivandière Pas de Six.
Orange is an expression of joy and peace, reminiscent of a sunset. La Vivandière Pas de Six, a 19th-century Romantic-era suite of short dances from a lost full-length story ballet, is delicate, light, and full of challenging technical demands for the dancers. Galantheae examines the dual nature of the snowdrop flower, both delicate and resilient, which mirrors the nature of ballet dancers themselves.
More than 65,000 ballet lovers attended the 21/22 Ballet West season—come see why Utahns are falling in love with Ballet West all over again.
