The 2-day event will showcase a scintillating array of music concerts, dance performances, discussions and talks by local and visiting artists.
Nitya Nritya Foundation is a Utah based non-profit whose mission is to present the best of Indian classical dance and music to Utah.
A central event on our calendar is the annual Nitya Nritya Festival scheduled for the weekend after Labor Day of each year. It is designed to be an umbrella event that offers varied forms of engagement, from straight up concerts and performances of the Indian classical arts, to discussions of context and Q&As with artists.
Now in our 6th year, Nitya Nritya Festival 2022 brings a stellar line up of events and artistes in our first in-person festival since the pandemic. The curated events aim to help create and nurture an appreciation of the classical Indian performing arts in Utah, by:
- providing a platform for Indian classical dancers and musicians, local or otherwise.
- promoting collaborative work across genres and to reach audiences from diverse cultural backgrounds.
The Nitya Nritya Festival brings together both artists and art connoisseurs together to also engage in dialogue and seeks to also promote an informed appreciation of the performing art forms from India and the subcontinent.
