Band Bio
Rob Harrington, Lead Singer, songwriter, guitarist
Robert Paul Harrington is an American musician, singer, songwriter and founding member of the rock and roll band, Dale’s House. Along with bandmates Dale Southard and Richy Williams, Rob formed the band in 2021 while the three were collaborating in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is best known for his EP titled What We Started (2017), prior to the formation of Dale’s House. In 2020 and 2021, he released two roots-influenced singles that incorporated elements of blues, folk, rock, and country. The formation of Dale’s House and specific inclusion of guitarist, Dalton Broadhead, saxophonist, Spencer Kellogg, and organist, Scooter Peterson, is a tribute to Rob’s methodical approach to music-making and songwriting which have evolved under his direction to form the funk, blues and rock sounds which Dale’s House is known for. When Rob isn't playing guitar, he can be found mastering his true love, the tambourine.

Dale Southard, Bassist, Vocals
Dale Southard is an American bassist, vocalist and creator best known for his work with the rock and roll band, Phoenix Rising, until its dissolution in 2016. Currently, Dale is the bassist and founding member of Dale’s House of which its name is derived. “I’m not entirely enamored of the Dale’s House moniker” states Dale, “but I’m deeply complimented that this Covid project of converting a 100-year-old garage into a rehearsal studio was the inspiration for the name.” Although an active figure in the music scene since the late 70’s, Dale’s current work with singer-songwriter, Rob Harrington, alongside fellow bandmate, Richy Williams (Phoenix Rising, Hooda THOT) is the bottom and the drive for Dale’s House. Harrington’s music is the basis for the foundation of Dale’s House and their live performances while Dale and his 100-year-old garage have become a mecca for Wasatch Front musicians. He is married and resides in Sugarhouse, Utah.

Richy Williams, Drummer
Richy Williams is an Italian American drummer and founding member of the progressive rock band Dale’s House and former drummer of Phoenix Rising and Hooda Thot. Known to fans by the nickname 'Fidel', his drumming is renowned for its exacting beats and his live performances for their “loud n proud” energy. Williams, a fourth-generation musician, is honored by his musical lineage which began in Carbon County, Utah in the early 20th century. “There is a musical path I willingly travel with those Williams’ who played and performed for generations before I arrived. From smoke filled jazz clubs to church choirs and everything (and I mean everything) in between. A damn colorful bunch of folks!”

Dalton Broadhead, Lead Guitarist, Vocals
Dalton Broadhead is an American musician best known as the lead guitarist for Dale’s House, a position that he has served since its inception, where he is known for his experimental accompaniment to the guitar playing of bandmate Rob Harrington. He also has collaborated more recently with artists such as Jelene Wilkinson and bassist Eric Mickelson in the female fronted rock band, Strawberry Bitch. He currently lives with his mom, 9 cats, 3 dogs and a crippling addiction to Slipknot.

Spencer Kellogg, Saxophone, guitar, composer
Spencer Kellogg is an American jazz-funk, soul-funk and what the funk saxophonist, guitarist and composer who currently performs with Dale’s House in Salt Lake City, Utah. At the age of 5, he first began playing music and picked up the saxophone at the age of 9. Originally from New Hampshire, Spence began his formal education at Keene State College before receiving his BA in Jazz Performance from the University of Utah. He is known throughout the Wasatch Front music scene as the pre-eminent saxophonist for essentially every genre of music, studio work and has taught saxophone, guitar and music theory since 2006. When he isn’t onstage with Dale’s House, you can often find Spencer performing in musicals and productions in and out of Utah. He currently resides in Sandy, Utah with his wife.

Scooter Peterson, keys and harp
J.O. Peterson, known as Scooter, is a Hispanic American musician who plays organ and keyboards. The son of a coal miner and raised in Columbia, Utah, he rose to prominence in the late 80’s performing with The Argon’s band where, at the age of 14, performed regularly at the famous Cowboy Club in Wellington, Utah for over a decade. Scooter often incorporates other elements, including harmonica, button box and accordion into his stage performances if and when bands will permit it (which isn't often). An organist by trade, he developed his own driving style, distinct from the 1970’s and 80’s Rhode’s piano-derived funk into a free-form of keys and progressions without ever taking lessons on a piano. Sometimes, he gets them all correct. Currently, Scooter performs regionally with Undeclared Millionaire (Steve Simonson, Kevin Hadley, Dale Southard) and locally with El Dente (Undeclared Millionaire along with Dave Smith, Emily Smith and Smith Duncan of Sake Shot). Most recently, Scooter joined renowned songwriter Rob Harrington (and gang) to begin a master project known as Dale’s House where he plays keys and harp. Scooter credits his love of music to his mentor and teacher, David Dickey of Lee's Music, who first hired Scooter at the age of 8. He is married with 4 children, 2 dogs and 3 damn cats.
