Stay  is Salt Lake Ballet Cooperative's (SLBC's) first wholly original show. It is a collection of collaborative works that display the various reasons and realities of why we, as multiple individuals and groups, chose to stay in relationships, families, work environments, and communities. Please Stay with us and celebrate our communities strength, perseverance, and resilience these past couple years.

SLBC formed in late 2021 due to a need for a group of ballet-based dancers to take class affordably and dance.  Carly Schaub, a founding member, said that “A lot of shifts and changes to ideology, especially in the performing arts happened during this ongoing pandemic. Through this, we still had a community of dancers that wanted to be together and dance.”  Schaub, also the Vice President of Deseret Experimental Opera (DEXO), worked with the rest of the board for this group of dancers to find a home for now under the umbrella of DEXO’s non-profit.
