Join us for a night filled with music from Latin America’s great symphonic composers performed by Utah Symphony at the UCCC at 8:30 p.m. on June 27.
The Utah Symphony’s Summer Community Concerts continue with associate conductor Benjamin Manis leading a program filled with music from Latin America’s great symphonic composers including Moncayo’s Huapango, Ginastera’s Dances from Estancia, and Márquez’ Danzón No. 2. Also, hear the Utah Symphony perform Carlos Simon’s Tales: A folklore symphony, which explores African American folklore as well as Afrofuturists stories.
This performance is offered for free to thank the community for its support of Salt Lake County’s Zoo, Arts, and Parks Program.
Estimated concert length: 90 minutes with no intermission
Free Admission. No tickets needed. The outdoor amphitheater has 524 fixed seats and a lawn section, all areas are general admission. You are welcome to bring your own blanket. Performances are held rain or shine.
