Join Slow Food Utah, Plant Based Utah, Wasatch Community Gardens, and the Utah Film Center for the first Films on Food at Farms—a screening of Following the Drinking Gourd at Wasatch Community Gardens!
This event starts at 7:30 pm and the film will begin at sundown (about 8:45 pm). Run time is 60 minutes.
Bring a picnic or order ahead from Spice Kitchen and they'll deliver to WCG for pickup at 7:30! Link coming soon. We'll email you ASAP when ordering becomes available.
Any trash must be taken out with you.
Please bring your own chairs (folding or camping chair preferred) as we will be seated around the garden. Blankets are not ideal as they take up more room and space is limited. For ADA accommodations, text Kim at 801-509-1208.
Street parking is available on 800 S & 600 E. Bike racks also available. Please no parking on Green St. or in the lot behind the campus.
Follow the Drinking Gourd is a feature documentary about the Black food justice movement. Family-friendly, funny, and moving, this 60-minute film connects the legacy of slavery, capitalism, and climate change to our fight for food security.
