Kate McLeod's Music is inspired by the Utah region, from the heart of the American West. Her music is about the Utah experience but the it also reaches out to people who are not familiar with music that is the best of Americana . Many of Washington County's residents are from other states and countries. Kate McLeod's music introduces them to music from the American West. Her original songs, instrumentals, and creative renditions of traditional and popular music enthralls audiences from all over the world. Kate has won awards for her guitar and violin playing and also her original songs. Kate was awarded Best of the West by the Far-West division of the International Folk Alliance Organization. Kate's song, The Grand Staircase Escalante, won first prize for the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument Partner's search for a theme song.
