Boulder Cliff Notes Writing Conference and Book Festival

Boulder Cliff Notes Writing Conference and Book Festival

Presented by Boulder Arts Council at Boulder Town Hall

Boulder Cliff Notes Writing Conference and Book Festival begins each year with a reading of new and favorite work by Utah's first poet laureate, David Lee.  The conference begins on Friday, September 30th with David Lee conducting the getting to know you session and homework sharing.  He then shares the new homework assignment for participants for the next year.  Friday afternoon, McArthur Fellow, Eleanor Wilner will provide writing instruction and deep thoughts about poetry.  Friday night, fiction writer, Rob Van Wagoner will read from his new book, "The Contortionist."  Saturday morning begins with the second session with Eleanor Wilner followed by the first session of writing fiction by Robert Van Wagoner.  Saturday night, Eleanor will read from her work.  Sunday morning is the final session of the event with Rob's second session.

It is a great conference with high quality and nationally known faculty and participants who range from published writers to people who love writing.  It is an outstanding community of participants who will become friends.  The conference is also held in one of the most beautiful places in the world, with beautiful drives in all directions.  You may want to stay over for some great hiking or a trip to see fall on the mountain.
