The Eccles Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden will open the Ogden Pioneer Days- Traces of the West Statewide Competitive Exhibit in its galleries on Friday, July 1st, 2022. Works from this exhibit will remain on Exhibit through July 30, 2022.
The Ogden Pioneer Days, and The Eccles Art Center's Galleries will display accepted western themed works from resident Utah artists during the Ogden Pioneer Days - Traces of the West Competition. This statewide competition will open Friday, July 1st and continue through Saturday, July 30, 2022. A reception for artists, and the public will be held in association with Ogden’s Art Stroll on Friday, July 1, from 5 to 9 p.m. Awards for the competition will be posted at this reception.
The Ogden Pioneer Days—Traces of the West Statewide is competitive, open artists who presently reside in the state of Utah and who choose to work within a western theme. Western themes include western landscapes, native Americans, cowboys, cowgirls, indigenous wildlife and domestic animals. Original works in a variety of media will be represented. Reproduction prints and photographs will not be included in this exhibit. Many of the works accepted for this exhibit will look fit in a mountain cabin, farm or ranch house creating a splendid addition to your western art collection. This July, add a visit to the Eccles Art Center’s Traces of the West competition exhibit to your Utah Pioneer Days celebration.
The Eccles Art Center’s regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center is closed Sundays and major holidays including July 4, 2022. For information, please call 801-392-6935, or on-line:www.ogden4arts.org.

The Eccles Art Center's has street parking and a parking lot which may be entered on Orchard Avenue, which is a half block north of the center's historic home. Parking lot is closed from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
As the Eccles Art Center is located in a historic home, The center's Main and Carriage House Galleries are accessible. Accessible restrooms are located in the Carriage House and Performing Arts Buildings. Please ask staff for assistance if necessary.
