The recent Bachauer Gold Medalist returns to Utah with a program of elegance and drama, venturing from Mozart and Schubert to Liszt’s virtuosic take on Mozart’s opera Don Juan, including the ever-popular Là ci darem la mano.
Passionate, inspired performances and brilliant technique are the hallmark of pianist CHANGYONG SHIN, First Prize Winner of the Gina Bachauer International Artists Competition, Seoul International Music Competition, and the Hilton Head International Piano Competition.
A native of South Korea, Mr. Shin earned his Master of Music and Artist Diploma program at The Juilliard School as a full-scholarship candidate and studied with Robert McDonald. He is also a recording artist, with his debut album listed as one of the “Best New Recordings of 2018” by WQXR.
