The New York-based Australian ‘avant-garde visionary pianist’ (New Yorker) Lisa Moore will perform an illuminating and virtuosic sixty-minute recital featuring works from her recent albums - composed by three of America’s leading composers. The concert opens with sonorous and mesmerizing works by Oscar-nominated Philip Glass - before moving to the sublime and lyrical lilt of Martin Bresnick’s Ishi’s Song - and concluding with the bullet-pulsing pyrotechnics of music by maverick composer-pianist Frederic Rzewski.
