Harness the power of the sun to create beautiful blue photographic prints without using a camera! In this workshop you will learn about the history of cyanotype, a vintage form of alternative photography, and how it became intertwined with documenting algae, ferns, and other plant life.
By the end of the class, you will have learned the history & chemistry behind cyanotypes as well as how to prepare, expose, and develop your own prints. This class is for anyone who loves art, photography, plants, history, chemistry, or science!
Supplies to create, store, and frame multiple fabric and paper cyanotype prints are included with the workshop.
